Soft, simple and versatile, the tactile wall sconce of the FlatWhite is detailed with a concave chamfer and acid-etched opal finish captures the light within the glass. The glass shade scoops inwards from the edges, which creates an illusion as if the light is floating off the wall, producing a subtle illumination without any glare.

FlatWhite is made from handblown glass to produce a poetic emission of light. By teaming up with local glass artists, ADesignStudio produces lighting to honour and accentuate the delicate synergies of both glass and light.

A Design Studio is an award-winning lighting design and manufacturing practice, led by Alex Fitzpatrick. The studio is based in Sydney, Australia, and distributes internationally.
The studio’s collections reveal a distinctly expressive approach to transforming space with light, using both traditional skills (glassblowing and metalworking) and contemporary lighting and manufacturing technologies, to find a perfect balance between the scientific and the poetic.
